Prof. Quentin Denost represents BCI at FICARE 2026, alongside international experts in rectal cancer.

His presentations address the role of induction chemotherapy and local excision, particularly for patients with a near-complete clinical response following neoadjuvant treatment.

Invited as an international expert, Prof. Quentin Denost represented BCI at this event organised by Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires, marking the course’s 40th anniversary.

Through his presentations and multidisciplinary discussions, he shared his expertise in rectal cancer management within a programme exploring neoadjuvant treatment, treatment de-escalation and organ preservation.

 Prof. Quentin Denost and Dr Barbara Noiret represented BCI at the 21st European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) Congress, held from 23 to 25 September 2026 in Prague.

As Chair of the Programme Committee, Prof. Denost also presented the results of GRECCAR 17, investigating the tailored use of diverting stomas following rectal cancer surgery.

 Prof. Quentin Denost and Dr Barbara Noiret represented BCI at the 3CVD Congress, held from 15 to 18 September 2026 in Paris-La Défense.

The PAROS 3 and GRECCAR 17 trials were presented at the congress, alongside future perspectives on rectal preservation through EVAREC.

A selection of key colorectal surgery publications from 2026 was also shared with the scientific community during the “Best of Papers” session.

 Dr Noiret attended the Hernia France Congress on 3 July 2026, an event dedicated to hernia surgery.

Professor Quentin Denost will deliver a lecture entitled “When the Join Fails: Managing Anastomotic Leaks”, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of anastomotic leaks, one of the most challenging complications in colorectal surgery.
